and her husband Kyle Marsan of Haverhill brothers Edward and his companion Maureen Turcotte of Haverhill, Larry Credit and wife Margaret of Florida, Thomas and his companion Kathy Burnyshafski of Bradford sisters Kathleen and her husband Frank Shoemaker of Methuen, Susan and her husband Andy Linehan of Haverhill grandchildren, Jocelyn S. Betts and his wife Kim of Hampton N.H., Amy A. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 44 years, Larry Betts her children Brian A. Her family takes peace in knowing that she is reunited with her cherished parents, Arthur and Arlene and two big brothers George and David Credit who preceded her in death. She was a spiritual person and never lost her faith. They brought so much joy to her life, and she always lit up when they were around. Judy was also a proud "Meme" of four beautiful grandchildren. She enjoyed being together with her husband and children for long rides to the beach and up the coast, for chop suey sandwiches at Salem Willows, and lazy days at home watching Seinfeld. She was a fighter and never gave up, no matter how difficult things got. Her wit, sense of humor and spunk remained with her throughout her struggles with multiple sclerosis and dementia. From her pistachio cake, pork chops and applesauce to clam chowder. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Judy enjoyed crafts, gardening and even some amateur bird watching from her home with her kids, but Judy's ultimate passion was cooking. They had two children, Brian and Amy, whom she loved dearly. On April 3, 1976, she married the love of her life, Larry Betts. She worked her way up to head cook at Union Mission Nursing Home, then took a position at Compugraphic, until she accepted an assembly job at Raytheon in North Andover. Joseph's Grammar School and graduated from Whittier Vocational School as a dietary aid, and later attended Bunker Hill Community College. Judy was born on January 16, 1958, in Haverhill, Mass., to Arthur and Arlene (Bernard) Credit. "Judy" (Credit) Betts, 62, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020, of complications after a 30-plus year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
